Ans: Jerry got emotionally affected with the writer because he found the glimpse of his mother in the nature of writer. The writer also had a familial feelings for him. That's why, they both got emotionally affected.

Ans: Jerry is strong not only physically but also mentally. In the in the age of just 12, he was able to hide his emotion and pretend to be happy. It shows his self dignity.

Ans: Jerry's eyes show his loneliness very pathetically. His deep grey blue eyes are like the mirror of the inner self which reveals whatever he tries to hide.

Ans: The writer got angry when she came to know about Jerry's mother because she developed an attachment for the boy as her son. She did not want to divide her love with others. That's why, out of jealousy she got angry.
